Inside linebacker Ray Lewis snapped a streak of 57 consecutive starts when a toe injury forced the Ravens to deactivate him for Sunday's 31-24 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
With the team's showdown with the San Francisco 49ers looming on Thanksgiving night, the question now is whether Lewis will start a new streak in terms of starts missed.
Coach John Harbaugh did not shed any light on the matter when he was asked for his thoughts on Lewis' availability during a conference call with San Francisco media Monday afternoon.
"My thoughts about it? I think about it a lot," Harbaugh said. "I've got lots of thoughts about it."
When the same reporter asked if Lewis would play, Harbaugh replied, "Is that something I really want to share right now, you think? Would there be any value in me doing that?"
That response elicited a few laughs from the San Francisco media, and Harbaugh chuckled, too. When the reporter told Harbaugh that he had to ask, Harbaugh said, "Sure, I understand."
But that was the end of the conversation on Lewis.
