The Ravens have yet to produce their third injury report of the week, but with Ray Lewis having missed practice Wednesday and Thursday and being absent during the portion of Friday's practice open to the media, it would appear that it doesn't look good for the 12-time Pro Bowl selecton to return for Sunday's away game against the Cleveland Browns.
But coach John Harbaugh clung to some hope that Lewis, who has been hobbled by an injured toe on his right foot, might be able to make his first appearance in three contests.
"I feel like there's a chance," Harbaugh said after Friday's practice. "We'll see how it goes"
If Lewis can't play, Dannell Ellerbe would be in line to make his second start in three games with fellow inside linebacker Jameel McClain. Ellerbe missed the win against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night due to hamstring and groin injuries, but he fully practiced Wednesday and Thursday.
Asked whether Ellerbe had progressed well, Harbaugh replied, "Dannell progressed well, yes."
