Forsett, 30, will meet with and work out for the Detroit Lions Monday. ESPN first reported Forsett's plans.

The Lions have been using Theo Riddick as their starting running back after Ameer Abdullah was lost with a significant foot injury earlier this year.

Forsett started the Ravens' first three games, but was averaging just 3.2 yards per carry. With him gone, the Ravens will start Terrance West (Northwestern High, Towson University) for a second straight week. Rookie fourth-round running back Kenneth Dixon is also scheduled to make his NFL debut today.
