Flacco, A.Jones latest Ravens to get fined by NFL

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and defensive tackle Arthur Jones were both hit with $7,500 fines by the NFL, stemming from the 22-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday, according to an NFL spokesman.

Flacco was fined because of his horse-collar tackle of Seahawks linebacker David Hawthorne on the Ravens' eight-yard line early in the third quarter. Hawthorne had intercepted a Flacco deflected pass and was heading toward the end zone when the Ravens quarterback pulled him down from behind to save a touchdown. The Seahawks settled for a field goal on the drive.

Jones, who sustained a concussion in the Seattle game and will not play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, was called for an unnecessary roughness penalty after Billy Cundiff's 35-yard field goal late in the third quarter.

Jones was fined for "blocking an opponent low ... specifically on a special teams play," said the spokesman.
