Evans takes blame for dropped pass

Lee Evans was targeted just once in the Ravens' 24-16 win against the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday, but he dropped an opportunity to have a big impact on the contest.

On third down-and-8 from the offense's 40-yard line midway through the second quarter, quarterback Joe Flacco took the snap in the shotgun. Evans appeared to beat the cornerback down the right hash, and Flacco launched a deep pass that bounced off Evans' fingertips and fell to the turf at Paul Brown Stadium.

After the game, a chagrined Evans blamed himself for the gaffe.

"It was nice to actually get a ball on my hands, but I dropped it," he said. "… The wind did take it a little, but I should've caught that. That was on my hands."
