A day after fully practicing, Ed Reed was not spotted during the portion of Thursday's session open to the media. Reed suffered a stinger in Monday night's 12-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but did not appear to show any aftereffects during Wednesday's practice.
The Ravens practiced on the far field at their training facility in Owings Mills, which can be tough for media observers. The injury report, which will be distributed later in the afternoon, should clear up any confusion over the status of the seven-time Pro Bowl free safety.
Wide receiver Lee Evans (left ankle), left guard Ben Grubbs (strained ligaments in right toe), inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) and rookie running back Anthony Allen (thigh) were also absent.
Strong safety Tom Zbikowski was present, but he did not participate in any drills involving contact. It would seem that he has not yet been cleared for contact.
Cornerback Danny Gorrer appeared to suffer an injury during practice, and he was slowly walking off the field with a trainer. Outside linebacker Prescott Burgess walked into the locker room with a trainer, but returned with a wrap around his left elbow.
