Dumervil sidelined for second straight practice

Strong-side linebacker Elvis Dumervil remains the Ravens’ only significant injury concern heading into Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

The team leader with 9 ½ sacks, Dumervil missed practice for a second straight day because of an ankle injury he suffered in last week’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dumervil was able to finish the Steelers’ game but Harbaugh acknowledged Monday that the team would have to “nurse” some things this week with the linebacker.

Rookie safety Brynden Trawick (ankle) was also sidelined for a second straight day while cornerback Asa Jackson (thigh) was a nonparticipant after he was limited Wednesday.

Wide receiver Brandon Stokley (knee), defensive end Chris Canty (shoulder), cornerback Lardarius Webb (abs) were limited. Cornerback Jimmy Smith (concussion) was upgraded from limited to full

For the Vikings, quarterback Christian Ponder (concussion), running back Adrian Peterson (groin), tight end Kyle Rudolph (foot), linebacker Larry Dean (knee) and cornerback Josh Robinson (chest) were sidelined from practice for a second straight day. Ponder is not expected to play Sunday with Matt Cassel starting in his place.

Linebacker Chad Greenway (wrist), defensive end Jared Allen (finger), defensive tackle Sharif Floyd (illness) and safety Jamarca Sanford (ankle) were limited.
