Dumervil doing 'pretty good' after bruised ankle, Stokley concussion 'problematic'

The Ravens remain optimistic that Pro Bowl outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil could return for next Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions.

Dumervil was sidelined for the Ravens' 29-26 win over the Minnesota Vikings due to a bruised ankle, breaking a streak of 44 consecutive games.

"I think Elvis has a chance for next week, yeah," coach John Harbaugh said Monday during his weekly press conference. "He looks pretty good today. It's kind of a bruise in his ankle, so we'll just have to see where he's at. I was hoping for him this week, so I'll be more hopeful for him next week."

Meanwhile, veteran wide receiver Brandon Stokley's concussion could keep him out for an undetermined amount of time. He's going through the NFL concussion testing protocol, but his history of concussions is regarded as an issue for him to get back on the field quickly.

"We'll have to see how it shakes out," Harbaugh said. "Unfortunately, he's had a number of them in his career. So, it could be problematic for us. We'll have to see in the next 24 hours or so."
