Courtney Upshaw fined $15,750 for roughing the passer against Vikings

Ravens outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw was fined $15,750 for roughing the passer, according to a league spokesman.

Upshaw hit Minnesota Vikings quarterback Matt Cassel in the third quarter of the Ravens' 29-26 win at M&T Bank Stadium.

Upshaw "unnecessarily struck a defenseless player in the chest area with the hairline of his helmet," according to the NFL.

Upshaw was the only fine from the game.
