City grad Charles Tapper drafted by Cowboys

Oklahoma defensive end Charles Tapper (City) was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the NFL draft.

The 6-4, 283-pound Tapper was selected with the 101st pick overall.

Tapper was a two-time all-Big 12 player, as a sophomore in 2013 and again last season when he finished with 50 tackles, including 10 for loss, as well as seven sacks. He tied for the conference lead with four foruced fumbles.

"He's strong as an ox," Mel Kiper Jr. said on ESPN's telecast.
