Former Ravens cornerback Chykie Brown wasn't out of a job for long.
Cut by the Ravens on Tuesday, Brown was claimed by the New York Giants off waivers Wednesday.
The Giants created a spot for Brown by placing cornerback Prince Amukamara on injured reserve with a torn biceps.
Brown struggled in pass coverage this season. The 2011 fifth-round draft pick from Texas allowed a 54-yard touchdown pass to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown on Sunday night and also allowed a game-winning touchdown pass to Cincinnati Bengals receiver A.J. Green in a season-opening loss.
Brown has nine tackles this season. For his career, Brown has 28 tackles and seven pass deflections in 46 career games (two starts), all with the Ravens.
