Breaking down Pernell McPhee's $38.75 million, Owen Daniels' $12 million deals

Former Ravens outside linebacker Pernell McPhee signed a five-year contract with the Chicago Bears with a base value of $38.75 million.

The Baltimore Sun obtained a copy of his contract, which includes a $15.5 million guaranteed, a $2.5 million signing bonus and a $5 million roster bonus and a fully-guaranteed $1 million base salary in 2015.

The deal includes a $7 million base salary in 2016, $6.95 million in 2017, $7.2 million in 2018 and $7.625 million in 2019.

The $7 million base salary in 2016 is guaranteed for injury only at signing and becomes fully guaranteed if he's on the roster on the third day of the 2016 league year. The deal includes an annual $175,000 workout bonus, totaling $875,000 over five years.

The $5 million roster bonus is due on the fourth day of the league year in 2015.

He has $200,000 roster bonuses due on June 1, 2017, June 1, 2018 and June 1, 2019.

Former Ravens tight end Owen Daniels signed a three-year, $12.25 million contract with the Denver Broncos.

According to a copy of the deal, it includes a $3 million signing bonus and base salaries of $1.75 million in 2015, $3 million in 2016 and $3.5 million in 2017. He has $500,000 roster bonuses due on the fifth day of the 2016 league year and the fifth day of the 2017 league year.
