Boldin makes huge recovery, no longer ruled out vs. Bengals

When coach John Harbaugh announced last week that Anquan Boldin was undergoing surgery to repair a slightly torn meniscus in his knee, Harbaugh said the Ravens wide receiver would not return until the playoffs at the earliest.

Boldin is accelerating that timetable a bit as he has no longer been ruled out by the team for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The team described Boldin as having participated on a limited basis in Friday's practice and changed his designation from out to doubtful. That designation means that he has a 25 percent chance of playing.

It's appears very unlikely that Boldin would be able to suit up against the Bengals, but Harbaugh – who spoke before the release of the final injury report of the week – praised Boldin's resolve.

"Those guys rehab hard," Harbaugh said. "Anquan's a very tough guy. [Right guard] Marshal [Yanda is] a very tough guy. [Cornerback] Cary [Williams] is very tough. These guys are tough people. They want to do everything they can to play, and I think they're doing everything that they can to play as soon as they can."
