Birk, Cody, Redding latest additions to injury concerns

The Ravens' list of injury concerns appears to be getting longer as three more starters did not participate during the portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media.

Center Matt Birk, nose tackle Terrence Cody and defensive end Cory Redding are the latest additions to that list. Birk, who underwent surgery on his left knee in the preseason, was present, but he wore a black sleeve on his left leg and did not practice.

Cody suffered a concussion in the team's 26-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans Sunday. It's unclear what prevented Redding from practicing as there was no report of him dealing with an injury after the setback.

Those three starters joined wide receivers Lee Evans (left ankle) and David Reed (left shoulder strain), left guard Ben Grubbs (toe) and rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith (high left ankle sprain) as non-participants Wednesday.

Cornerbacks Chris Carr and Domonique Foxworth did practice. Carr missed Sunday's loss after re-aggravating a left hamstring injury in the team's 35-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers Sept. 11. Foxworth has played in both games, but coach John Harbaugh said Monday that lingering issues with his surgically-repaired right knee could force the club to shelve Foxworth for some time.
