Since the Ravens former Cincinnati Bengals running back Bernard Scott to a one-year, $715,000 contract, he's been constantly immersed in the playbook.
It's a lot for Scott to absorb heading into Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, but he says he's starting get a handle on the offense.
"It's kind of the same, just different terminology," Scott said. "Football is football. The first couple of days have been kind of different. I just need to get back in the playbook and work a little harder."
Scott practiced with the Ravens on Wednesday, trying to develop timing as he took handoffs and caught passes.
"I've always admired the guy," Ravens starting running back Ray Rice said. "He was definitely the scatback in Cincy, quick-hitter, speed. With Bernard Scott, we just added another third dimension to our backfield."
