Two days after he was released by the Ravens as part of their final roster cuts, quarterback Josh Johnson has a found a new home.
Johnson, who led the Ravens to an undefeated preseason, signed today with the New York Giants, according to his agent Doug Hendrickson.
The well-traveled Johnson hasn't thrown a pass in an NFL game since 2011. However, he was sharp for the Ravens in extensive preseason action, completing 41-of-57 passing attempts for 365 yards and a touchdown, and rushing 18 times for 87 yards and two scores.
The Ravens opted to keep Ryan Mallett as Joe Flacco's only backup. They've kept only two quarterbacks on their regular-season opening roster for seven straight seasons.
