Conditions were more favorable for the elite runners at this year's celebration of running in Boston. It was cold for everyone but the fast runners got to miss the drizzling rain that started later in the day and made things tougher for those who started later.
It is always hard to find places to stay warm while waiting for the start on the race in Hopkinton, but everyone managesw to survive in good spirits. This is, after all, the El Dorado of running for most of us. It is quite an experience and we hope local runners had a positive time in Beantown. Those of us who watched the streaming coverage online were treated to a competitive event.
There were close to 500 entrants from Maryland in the race on Monday. I was able to acquire a list of local finishers and have included as many of those as I clould confirm as follows in their order of finish: Nate Nudelman 3:01:18; Tom Hattar 3:07:53; Andrew Ackley 3:08:25; Dave Phipps 3:10:49; Tim Smith 3:16: 19; Blaise Brennan 3:22:09; Ivy Kusler 3:29:18; Kayla Grimmett 3:31:37; Alison Buckler 3:32:51; Mara Whiteman 3:34:49; Tom Zorn 3:39:32; Tom DeKornfeld 3:43:18; Katie Phipps 3:43;43; Sarah Borrell 3:45:41; Karen Kalber 3:46:14; Mike Lord 3:47:48; Cheri Kircher 3:48:57; Leigh Ann Cotter 3:48:58; Jane Meyer 3:53:21; Sylvester Mata 4:07:19; Ronnie Wong 4:07:22; Amy Malone 4:25:36; Candice Rhine 4:25:51; Sue Treacy 4:25:52; Heidi Wood 4:46:58; Maria Shields 4:35:51; Missy Digulian 5:04:47.
