The Orioles acquired infielder Alex Liddi from the Seattle Mariners and designated infielder Russ Canzler for assignment, the team announced Saturday.

Along with Liddi, the Orioles received the Mariners' international signing bonus slot No. 3, while sending the Mariners their international signing bonus slot No. 2.

Liddi, 24, was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk. He played in 61 games in the majors for the Mariners since 2011, hitting .208/.266/.370 with six home runs and 16 RBIs.

He signed with the Mariners in 2005 as an amateur free agent out of Instituto Aicardi Agragia in Albenga, Italy.
