Orioles starter Brian Matusz, head athletic trainer Richie Bancells and assistant athletic trainer Brian Ebel will team up Tuesday in an effort to curb child obesity.
Matusz, Bancells and Ebel are the Orioles' representatives for the PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) campaign, which encourages children to be active, eat right and maintain a healthy lifestyle. PLAY is conducting summer fitness programs at all 30 MLB ballparks this summer, including at Camden Yards on Tuesday.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, will feature Matusz, Bancells and Ebel working with Baltimore-area youth on fitness tips in an effort to combat child obesity.
