Wrap-up: Athletics 6, Orioles 2

How it happened: A second straight game was essentially decided in the first inning, as Oakland scored twice off Orioles starter David Hernandez in the bottom half. The A's added single runs in the second, fourth (thanks in part to errors by the Orioles' Adam Jones and Ty Wigginton) and fifth to take a 5-0 lead. The Orioles finally got onto the scoreboard in the seventh inning on Nick Markakis' sacrifice fly -- his first RBI of the season.

He said it:: "No excuses, no one is feeling sorry for anybody. I just see it not getting done. The other teams are playing better right now. You battle, you keep plugging away at it. Tomorrow's another day." -- Dave Trembley, Orioles manager

You said it: "I really thought we were building something but now I see we have several just above average young guys and the rest are barely major leaguers. Only the Orioles could turn Baltimore back into a total football town. This franchise is wasting a beautiful stadium and a loyal fanbase." -- David Fisher, commenting on Orioles Insider
