Wrap-up: Rays 5, Orioles 1

How it happened: Orioles starter Jeremy Guthrie allowed just three earned runs over seven innings, but his offense didn't give him much support, scoring just a run -- on Felix Pie's leadoff homer -- on six hits off Rays starter Matt Garza. A Camden Yards record low 9,129 fans watched the loss.

He said it: "It's not fun. ... I think overall, our pitching is doing a great job. Our offense needs to pick it up. I know for myself in the three hole, I need to be more aggressive, get things going. We just all need to relax. It's a long season. I know it's not the way we wanted to start, but we have to keep battling. Just go out there, and things will start going our way eventually." -- Nick Markakis, Orioles right fielder

You said it: "is it football season yet? this team will lose 95-100 games." -- steven lowe, commenting on Orioles Insider
