Wrap-up: Orioles 5, Rays 4

How it happened: The Orioles scored four runs in the sixth inning to back starter Brian Matusz, who allowed two runs in five innings, and Michael Gonzalez earned his first save of the season despite loading the bases with two outs in the ninth.

He said it: "Let me just say that I had more than one foot on the top step [of the dugout]." -- Dave Trembley, Orioles manager, on how close he was to yanking Matusz from the game when the pitcher allowed three straight walks followed by an RBI single and a sacrifice fly in the third inning.

You said it: "2 VERY positive signs: 1. no errors in this 3 game set. 2. No base running mistakes that i noticed. Both of those were huge problem areas last year." -- Osfan1962, commenting on The Sun's Orioles message board.
