Orioles (2-5) vs. Yankees (4-3)

Where: Yankee Stadium, New York

First pitch: 7:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (0-1, 13.50 ERA) vs. Yankees LHP CC Sabathia (0-0, 1.80 ERA)

What to watch

1. Build on it. The Orioles ended their slide at five with a five-run inning and strong start from Andrew Cashner on Thursday. Was that the start of a momentum swing or just one standout game to start the series?

2. Gausman. After two straight years of starting poorly, Kevin Gausman’s first game of the season didn’t provide a hope for a trend reversal. He allowed six runs on three homers with two wild pitches in four innings. He’ll be looking to show that was an aberration against a potent Yankees lineup.

3. Leadoff solution? Trey Mancini looked exceptional out of the leadoff spot in his first game replacing Chris Davis atop the lineup, and he’s back there again Friday. Mancini had three hits and two RBIs on Thursday for easily his best performance of the season. See if he can do it again against CC Sabathia.
