The Orioles announced on Thursday that they are expanding University Nights at Camden Yards this summer and fall, highlighting nine colleges and universities around the region.
Last year’s events, which included Maryland, Towson and Morgan State, are slated to return.
In April, a theme night celebrating the UMBC men’s basketball team and head coach Ryan Odom quickly sold out, so the Orioles have booked another late-summer night to honor the Retrievers again, on Aug. 27.
The university lineup will run as follows: James Madison will lead it off on Aug. 11, against the Boston Red Sox, followed by Virginia Tech (Aug. 15, New York Mets) and Towson (Aug. 24, New York Yankees).
The late-August series against the Toronto Blue Jays will be devoted to UMBC, Virginia Commonwealth and Coppin State, respectively, on Aug. 27, 28, and 29.
The Orioles’ Sept. 13 home game against the Oakland Athletics will belong to Morgan State, followed by Georgetown (Sept. 16, Chicago White Sox) and Maryland (Sept. 19, Blue Jays) as the finale.
A limited availability of ticket packages can be found on orioles.com/university, which include an Orioles cap featuring both team and school logos and colors. Ticket prices and seat locations vary nightly, and the costs range from $20 to $41.
