Orioles (24-64) vs. Twins (38-48)

Where: Target Field, Minneapolis

First pitch: 2:10 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Alex Cobb (2-10, 6.53 ERA) vs. Twins RHP Jake Odorizzi (3-6, 4.57 ERA)

What to watch

1. Take a look at the ex-Rays. Cobb and Odorizzi were teammates for Tampa Bay from 2013 through last season. Will Cobb avoiding setting a single-season high in losses today? Eleven defeats would also tie him for the 2018 major league lead.

2. The waiting game. The Orioles have walked only 242 times, fourth fewest in the major leagues. Do they have the patience to wait out a starting pitcher who has issued four bases on balls in three of his past five starts?

3. Marksmanship at Target. The Orioles’ Mark Trumbo has eight home runs since June 17, tied for second in the majors behind the New York Yankees’ Aaron Hicks and the Colorado Rockies’ Nolan Arenado (nine each). Will Trumbo go deep off a starter who’s allowed 15 long balls this season but only one since May 31?
