The only place to watch the Orioles this season locally is on regional cable sports network MASN.

Last year, you could see about 20 games on WJZ, including the Opening Day game. In the past, games have also been on WMAR. This season, games will only be on MASN or MASN2. You can check with your cable provider for the channel numbers of MASN and MASN2, and whether there is any cost to add them.

After 64 years, no lineup of Orioles games will be on Baltimore broadcast TV in 2018

There will be no lineup of Orioles baseball games on WJZ or any other over-the-air Baltimore broadcast channels this season, the CBS-owned station and Orioles confirmed Tuesday.

The Orioles’ season opens today against the Minnesota Twins at 3:05 p.m. at Camden Yards.

In response to queries this week MASN released the following statement:

“Thanks for your interest in MASN. As the network that produces and airs all available Orioles games, MASN and MASN2 will now be the exclusive channels to watch Orioles baseball in the Mid-Atlantic region. Also for the first time, MASN and MASN2 will be the only channels where you can watch each 'O's Xtra' pregame and postgame shows.”

Fans right to be mad about lack of broadcast, streaming Orioles games

The reaction to news Tuesday that MASN was no longer going to allow the Orioles to be seen on over-the-air TV this year was swift and mainly one-sided on social media.

Nationals games will also be exclusive to MASN or MASN2, as will the pregame and postgame shows.

There will be a handful of Orioles and Nationals game shown nationally on Fox Sports 1 and ESPN. Major League Baseball also has a subscription service that offers team-by-team coverage of games. You can find information here.

The Orioles — and MASN — are owned by the Angelos family. John P. Angelos is president of MASN.
