Orioles (7-20) vs. Tigers (11-14)

Where: Camden Yards

First pitch: 1:05 p.m.

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Kevin Gausman (1-2, 4.66 ERA) vs. Tigers LHP Daniel Norris (0-1, 4.85 ERA)

What to watch

1. Rubber match. The Orioles look to avoid losing all three series on their nine-game homestand. They've lost six of the first eight games, dropping three of four against the Indians and two games against the Rays.

2. Quality control. Kevin Gausman is coming off his best start of the season as he aims to extend his streak of quality starts to four. Gausman has been good since his first start of the year, allowing two runs in three of his past four starts and giving up three runs in the other. He has a 3.24 ERA over his past four starts, and allowed two runs in eight innings six days ago.

3. Another lefty, no Davis. The Orioles go up against their second straight left-handed starter with Daniel Norris on the mound. They didn't fare well against Francisco Liriano, but they went into that game with a higher OPS against lefties this season (.720) than against righties (.645). First baseman Chris Davis isn't starting for the second straight game. He has just one hit against lefties this season.
