Orioles release 2019 schedule, open in New York on March 28

The Orioles will open up the 2019 season on the road, playing the New York Yankees on March 28, and host the Yankees in their home opener one week later at Camden Yards on April 4.

The team released its full schedule for next season Wednesday afternoon, and it includes an interleague schedule against all five National League West teams.

The Orioles will host a weekend series against the San Francisco Giants from May 31 to June 2 as well as weekday series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (Sept. 10-12) and San Diego Padres (June 25-26). They will travel to face the Colorado Rockies (May 24-26), Arizona Diamondbacks (July 22-24) and Padres (July 29-30).

Adam Jones stayed with Danny Jansen's family when he was an 18-year-old minor leaguer. Now Jansen is the Toronto Blue Jays' top catching prospect.

They will open the season with a three-game series at Yankee Stadium on March 28, 30 and 31, then travel to Toronto for three games against the Blue Jays from April 1-3. On their first homestand, the Orioles will host the Yankees on April 4, 6 and 7, and then the Oakland Athletics from April 8-11.

The Orioles will play 26 of their first 48 games on the road, an opening stretch that will include trips to face the Yankees, Blue Jays, Boston Red Sox, Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians.

The team’s longest homestand will be from Aug. 1-11, when the Orioles host the Blue Jays (Aug. 1-4), Yankees (Aug. 5-7) and Houston Astros (Aug. 9-11)

The Orioles will also end the season with 10 of their last 16 games on the road, including the season-ending road trip to Toronto (Sept. 23-25) and Boston (Sept. 27-29).
