Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP David Hess (1-1, 6.75 ERA) vs. Rays RHP Sergio Romo (1-0, 4.34 ERA)

Orioles right-hander Dylan Bundy struck out a career-high 14 and proved himself to be the man for Thursday's tasks on many levels in the team's 9-3 win over the White Sox.

What to watch

1. Finish strong. The Orioles have played better on this 11-game road swing, going 3-4 through the first two series with a chance to put together a winning trip. They’ll have to hope the Rays’ win Thursday didn’t get them heated up following three straight losses. Before the brief skid, the Rays had won six in a row to get back to .500.

2. Relief revolution. The Rays will start three relievers this weekend in an effort to combat the same problem the Orioles have — getting their starters a third time through the opposing batting order. How will the Orioles fare facing a different look the next three days?

3. Hess, part 3. David Hess has had one quality start and one not-so-quality outing to begin his major league career. He’s not going up against the heavy-hitting Red Sox this time, however. The Rays come in with a middle-of-the-pack offense that lacks the power that spelled Hess’ demise at Fenway Park.
