What to watch
1. Cobb. Itās been more down than up for Alex Cobb of late, as he has two quality starts and a 7.41 ERA over his past six games. He allowed five runs in five innings hist last time out and has given up at least that many in four of his past six starts.
2. Hamels. This isnāt the dominant version of Cole Hamels the Orioles will be facing, especially after 14 runs allowed (10 earned) in just 5 2/3 innings over his past two starts sent his ERA from 3.61 to 4.28. Hamels was especially bad his last time out, when he retired just two batters and gave up seven runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks.
3. Machado check-in. Manny Machado has been excellent over his past 100 at-bats, hitting .340/.405/.570 with six doubles, a triple and five home runs with 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored. Quite a display as trade talk heats up approaching the July 31 nonwaiver trade deadline.
