What to watch

1. Extra special. The Orioles used two extra-inning wins to send the Blue Jays out of town with a four-game split. The Yankees come in treading water, playing even baseball since last falling out of first place in the American League East on Aug. 1. That has allowed the Orioles to move within 1½ games of the Twins for the second wild card and within 3½ of the Yankees for the first wild card.

2. Bank on Bundy. Dylan Bundy starts for the first time since the best game of his career — a one-hit shutout in which he struck out 12. According to ESPN's game score formula, that start matched Edinson Volquez's no-hitter — the only one in the majors this season — for the best-pitched game all year. Does Bundy have something special in store for an encore this Labor Day?

3. On the mark. Mark Trumbo comes in with hits in five straight games, and batting .375/.375/.542 during that stretch. That has elevated his season average to .246 as he gets closer to reaching his norms. See if the slugger can stay hot this afternoon.
