Friday's Orioles game with Twins postponed due to rain

Orioles fans looking forward to seeing former second baseman Jonathan Schoop, now with the Minnesota Twins, will have to wait another day.

The Orioles game scheduled for Friday night against the Twins has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader Saturday.

The Orioles will start Dan Straily in Game 1 and Alex Cobb in Game 2. Because of the doubleheader, the Orioles get an extra roster spot for the second game and do not need to make a corresponding move to reinstate Cobb from the injured list until after it’s complete.

The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 4:05 p.m., with the second game starting about 30 minutes after the first ends.

Fans with tickets for the originally scheduled 7:05 p.m. game can use those tickets for both games. Tickets for Friday’s game will not be automatically honored for Saturday’s doubleheader, the Orioles said. Fans can exchange their tickets at the Oriole Park box office for any remaining home game (including the doubleheader) based on availability by May 31.
