Orioles on deck: What to watch Sunday at Athletics

Orioles (58-59) vs. Athletics (51-66)

Where: Oakland Coliseum

First pitch: 4:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN2/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Jeremy Hellickson (7-6, 4.45 ERA) vs. Athletics RHP Kendall Graveman (2-3, 4.97)

What to watch

1. A for offense. With 20 hits and 12 runs Saturday, the Orioles offense continues to chug along. The Orioles are averaging 5.8 runs and 10 hits per game over their past 32 games, and have 23 runs on 40 hits in this series. See whether the Orioles bats can carry them to another win and a series victory in Oakland.

2. Hell on hitters. Jeremy Hellickson has provided quality starts in each of his two games since being acquired from the Philadelphia Phillies, and had a season-high nine strikeouts in his most recent outing. Can Hellickson keep it going as the Orioles push to get the upper hand in a crowded playoff race?

3. Cleaning up nice. Adam Jones is 6-for-13 with two doubles, two homers and seven RBIs in three games since being moved back to the cleanup spot. It's worth watching whether he keeps capitalizing on the prime run-production spot in the batting order.
