What to watch
1. Get back. Since back-to-back road wins, the Orioles have lost three in a row, during which time theyāve been outscored 19-4. Can the bats get things right with Dylan Bundy pitching?
2. Oh, I know you. Jeremy Hellickson starts amid a fine season for the Nationals, providing the kinds of contributions the Orioles hoped for when acquiring him at last seasonās nonwaiver trade deadline. Hellickson settled for a minor league deal with Washington, made his first start April 16 and has yet to allow more than three runs in any game. He has completed six innings only once in seven starts, but is keeping the Nats in games. He has been especially good of late with a 1.29 ERA over his past five starts.
3. Bundy. Bundy seems to have figured things out since his rough patch and is coming off the Oriolesā first complete game of the year (although Kevin Gausman did pitch nine innings in an extra-inning loss). Bundy has a 2.86 ERA over his past three starts and his most recent outing, despite a three-run homer, was one of his best yet with a career-high 14 strikeouts.
