Orioles (17-36) vs. Nationals (29-22)

Where: Camden Yards

First pitch: 1:05 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Alex Cobb (1-6, 7.32 ERA) vs. Nationals LHP Gio González (5-2, 2.38 ERA)

What to watch

1. Battle of the Beltways. The Orioles face their local rivals for the first time with the two teams in very different places — the Orioles in the cellar and the Nationals fighting for the top of the National League East. The Orioles only have bragging rights at stake in this one.

2. Cobb. Alex Cobb is coming off his worst start since late April — six earned runs in 3 2/3 innings. Can he bounce back against the Nats?

3. Machado-Harper. The matchup between pending star free agents Bryce Harper and Manny Machado will be a media-driven one, but will be fun to watch nonetheless. One player is fueling a farewell tour as he’s expected to be traded at some point (Machado), the other has no such talk surrounding him, and is just trying to get back to the playoffs again (Harper).
