Triple-A Norfolk

Infielder Robert Andino is showing some pop in his first month back in the organization. The former big league infielder entered Friday with six home runs after swatting two Thursday, and raised his batting average to .289. Andino, 33, went into the weekend with four multihit games in his past six starts. He last appeared with the Orioles in 2012.

Double-A Bowie

Left-hander John Means was rewarded for his strong start with Orioles minor league Pitcher of the Month honors. In five April starts, Means struck out 24 in 252/3 innings and allowed just four earned runs with a 1.05 WHIP. His 1.40 ERA was third best in the Eastern League entering Friday. The Orioles selected Means in the 11th round of the 2014 draft out of West Virginia.

High-A Frederick

Outfielder Josh Hart is trying to get out of the Carolina League. Hart, 22, was a supplemental first-round pick in 2013, but is in his third season in Frederick. He entered Friday batting .324 overall, and .387 since he returned from the disabled list with an ankle injury on April 26. He had hits in his first nine games back, including a stretch where he doubled in five straight games.

Low-A Delmarva

Outfielder Jake Ring was named Orioles minor league Player of the Month for April after hitting the cover off the ball in his full-season debut. The 2016 31st-round pick out of Missouri hit .359/.419/.667 with nine doubles, three triples, three home runs and 19 RBIs along the way. Ring also stole six bases in seven tries.
