Orioles on deck: What to watch Tuesday at Mets, plus lineups, broadcast info and more

Orioles (17-41) vs. Mets (27-30)

Where: CitiField, Flushing, N.Y.

First pitch: 7:10 p.m.

TV/Radio: MASN/105.7 The Fan

Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Alex Cobb (1-7, 6.80 ERA) vs. Mets LHP Jason Vargas (2-3, 8.53 ERA)

What to watch

1. Not-so-great eight. The Orioles have lost seven in a row twice this season, and are looking to avoid a season-high eighth straight defeat. It would be the Orioles’ longest skid since losing nine in a row in 2011.

2. Cobb. Alex Cobb has allowed three earned runs or fewer in five of his past six starts. After a setback May 23, he responded with his longest start as an Oriole, as he allowed three runs in seven innings May 28.

3. Wynn-ing debut. Before Tuesday’s game, the Orioles called up catcher Austin Wynns and immediately inserted him behind the plate for his major league debut. Wynns, 27, replaces Andrew Susac, who replaced Caleb Joseph, on the major league roster alongside fellow rookie Chance Sisco. Wynns comes up having hit .257/.314/.404 with four doubles, four homers and 16 RBIs in 32 games.
