Bundy to DL, Hart called up
Before Tuesdayās game, the Orioles placed right-hander Dylan Bundy on the 10-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain. They called up left-hander Donnie Hart to take his spot on the roster.
Bundy, the teamās best starter this season, will likely be back when the Orioles face the Minnesota Twins from July 5-8.
This will be Hartās sixth stint with the Orioles this season. He has a 4.05 ERA in seven appearances in the majors and a 2.55 ERA with Triple-A Norfolk this season.
What to watch
1. Trumbo. Mark Trumbo has put together quite a nine-game hitting streak, batting .367/.424/.933 with two doubles, five home runs, nine runs scored and 11 RBIs. Thatās brought his season totals to solid levels, as heās batting .269 with an .809 OPS and eight home runs in 44 games.
2. Gausman. Kevin Gausman will be looking to make it four straight good starts Tuesday after he allowed three runs or fewer in at least 5 2/3 innings in each of his past three games. He has a 3.44 ERA during that stretch, moving past a four-start rut in which he had an 8.53 ERA.
3. Stellar southpaw. Mariners lefty James Paxton was 6-1 with a 3.02 ERA on June 10 to rank among the best starters in baseball through 14 starts. Heās still having quite a season, but has allowed 10 runs in 7 1/3 innings over his past two games to sour it a bit. Heāll be looking to get back on track facing the Orioles, against whom heās 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in two career starts.
