What to watch
1. Mound matchup. Two-time Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber takes the mound Sunday afternoon in the best pitching matchup of the series, as he faces Andrew Cashner. Kluber is off to a terrific start, pitching at least seven innings in three of four starts (going 6 2/3 in the other) while allowing five runs in 29 2/3 innings. He pitched a three-hit shutout against the Orioles last season and has a 2.76 ERA in six career starts head to head. Cashner is 0-2 with a 9.90 ERA in two career starts against the Indians, but has a 1.89 ERA during a streak of three straight quality starts this season.
2. Making up for Mancini. The Orioles on Saturday played their first game without left fielder Trey Mancini, who hurt his knee crashing into the wall in foul ground. The Orioles were on the wrong end of a two-hit shutout in their first game without him, but how will they cope in the coming days while missing one of their most complete hitters?
3. Homestand. The Orioles were one of the best home teams in the American League for much of last season, and are off to a 3-4 start at Camden Yards this year. That's relatively good considering they're nine games under .500, but the Orioles need to capitalize on this 10-game homestand with results if they don't want their hole to get any deeper.
