Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP David Hess (2-3, 4.82 ERA) vs. Braves RHP Brandon McCarthy (5-3, 4.89 ERA)

What to watch

1. How sweep it is. The Orioles are one win away from their first three-game sweep of the season. The Orioles swept two games from the New York Mets earlier this month, and their longest winning streak of the season was four in a row in May. But a three-game sweep has eluded them.

2. Hess. Rookie David Hess will be looking to come out of a mini-slump. He has allowed five runs in each of his past two starts, giving up 10 runs in eight innings. He had pitched quality starts in each of his three previous outings, however.

3. Davis/Trumbo. A productive Chris Davis-Mark Trumbo duo would make a huge difference for the Orioles lineup, and has the past two games. Davis has two extra-base hits and five RBIs in his first two games back from an eight-game stint on the bench. Trumbo has four home runs and nine RBIs over his past seven games.
