Starting pitchers: Orioles RHP Andrew Cashner (2-7, 5.02 ERA) vs. Blue Jays LHP J.A. Happ (7-3, 4.08 ERA)

What to watch

1. Respond. The Orioles were two outs away from their third straight win before Brad Brach’s second blown save of the season allowed the game to get to extra innings. The Blue Jays won on a walk-off in the 10th inning. How will the Orioles respond Friday?

2. Cashner. Andrew Cashner is coming off just his second quality start since April 17. But the Orioles right-hander has kept the team in games of late, allowing three earned runs or fewer in five of his past six starts and eight of 12 overall. He’ll be making his fourth career start and second this season against the Blue Jays. Cashner has a 1.80 career ERA against Toronto and tossed seven scoreless innings against the Blue Jays earlier this season.

3. Davis sits. Facing a tough lefty, the Orioles are going without Chris Davis on Friday. The struggling first baseman is batting .152/.232/.232 this season and has been even worse over the past month, batting .115 with a .371 OPS in his past 26 games.
