Did former Oriole Manny Machado shake crotch at Brewers fans in Dodgers' Game 7 win?

Being mercilessly booed by Milwaukee Brewers fans in Game 7 of the National League Division Series on Saturday night, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Manny Machado appeared to direct a lewd gesture at the Miller Park crowd.

Having been dinged after Game 2 of the series for not running out a grounder to shortstop, Machado went full-hustle to reach on a bunt single to lead off the second inning Saturday night. One batter later, Cody Bellinger hit a go-ahead two-run homer and the Dodgers never looked back, going on to win, 5-1 to set up a World Series meeting with the Boston Red Sox.

What happened in between the bunt and the homer is what will likely draw the most attention.

Machado grabbed his crotch and appeared to shake it at the Brewers fans, who have been on his case throughout the series. The booing is audible if using sound on the video below.

It’s possible Machado was gesturing to his own bench, as his teammates can be seen interacting with him after the play — perhaps an exchange related to him turning on the hustle.

But it appeared to be directed at Brewers fans.

Machado had an eventful series against the Brewers, but for all the wrong reasons.

Aside from the lack of hustle on the grounder early in the series, he also had two questionable slides and appeared to purposefully clip Brewers first baseman Jesús Aguilar’s ankle on a groundout to first base.

That led Brewers star Christian Yelich to call Machado a dirty player. The latest incident won’t quiet any of that talk going into the World Series against a team Machado has a history against — the Red Sox.
