Mike Preston's key matchups for Ravens vs. Browns

.@MikePrestonSun picks three key matchups in the Ravens' game vs. the Cleveland Browns.

Browns OLB Paul Kruger vs. Ravens OTs Marshal Yanda, James Hurst and Eugene Monroe: The Ravens will start two, but might have to use all three in the game. If Yanda plays right tackle, he will have moved from guard. In most situations it would be a major adjustment, but Yanda has played the position before with the Ravens. Kruger, a former Raven, has developed well and has a team-high 10 sacks. He also has 48 tackles and forced three fumbles. Kruger has a nonstop motor and will play hard against his former teammates. EDGE: Browns.

Browns CB Joe Haden vs. Ravens WR Steve Smith: Smith played well against Haden in their first matchup this season, catching five passes for 101 yards. Haden can match up with Smith physically, but Smith gains separation out of the break. In a toss up for the ball, Smith wins because he is more athletic. Smith should play well after his vocal outbursts last week following the Ravens' loss to Houston. He should make more noise on the field this week compared to last Sunday: EDGE: Ravens.

Browns RBs Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell vs. Ravens ILBs C.J. Mosley and Daryl Smith: Because of quarterback injuries, the Browns have no choice but to count on a strong running game. Crowell and West have combined for nearly 1,200 yards rushing. Smith and Mosley lead the Ravens in tackles. If they can control the middle of the field, the Ravens should be able to stop the run. Cleveland, though, likes to run a lot off the perimeter, so Smith and Mosley better put on their track shoes to run sideline to sideline as well. EDGE: Ravens.
