May 10 (Gm. 2): Rangers 7, Orioles 3

The Orioles dropped the night cap of the doubleheader and Josh Hamilton homered again, finishing the series 8-for-18 with six home runs and 12 RBIs. Tommy Hunter took the loss for the Orioles allowing four runs on five hits in six innings. Despite losing 3 of 4 in the series, the O's ended the night tied for first in the AL East with the Tampa Bay Rays, who were heading to town. But they didn't seem to take that as a silver lining. "No one's happy about losing," Hunter said. "Hell, we don't play this game to lose. For anybody to be happy about losing a series at any point in the season is definitely in the wrong sport. This is what we do for a living, to come out here and get wins is what we're supposed to do. If anybody's happy about it, I couldn't tell you who is. No, we don't like losing. Losing [stinks]. You've got to find a way."
