Two more 2013 Orioles have become free agents

Outfielder Chris Dickerson and infielder Dan Johnson, who were taken off the Orioles' 40-man roster Thursday and outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk, have to decided to become free agents instead of accepting the assignments.

Dickerson, 31, hit .238 for the Orioles in 56 games. Johnson, 34, was hitless in five at-bats over three games after joining the Orioles on Sept. 13.

They'll both be pursuing a major league deal elsewhere but also would be eligible to re-sign with the Orioles.

There are now nine players who ended the season on the Orioles' 40-man roster that are now free agents. Two more, pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada and infielder Alexi Casilla, will join the list once their 2014 options are declined.
