Gibbons must sit for 15 days

Orioles outfielder Jay Gibbons was suspended by Major League Baseball yesterday for the first 15 days of the 2008 season for violating the league's toughened substance-abuse prevention program. Gibbons admitted Dec. 6 that he had used human growth hormone. "I have no excuses and bear sole responsibility for my decisions," Gibbons said in a statement first released to The Sun.
