Veteran reserve safety Jeromy Miles remains in the Ravens' plans for next season and is expected to be signed to a new contract this offseason, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Miles joined the Ravens as a special-teams ace two seasons ago, but he also played a lot at safety last season.

He played in every game, started twice and made a career-high 23 tackles with a fumble recovery and his first career interception. The pick came against Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Blake Bortles on Dec. 14.

Miles also had five tackles on special teams and a blocked field goal. In five NFL seasons, the former University of Massachusetts player has 45 career special-teams tackles.

Miles had been on a one-year, $800,600 contract in 2014 that included a $730,000 base salary, a signing bonus of $35,000 and a roster bonus of $30,000.
