Roughly 17,000 attend Orioles game; two million fans reached for season

The Orioles announced tonight's attendance as 17,383 – remember that is tickets sold and not necessarily people in the seats.

The actual attendance is obviously lower, but I think there were more people here than I had anticipated -- given the fact that the Super Bowl champion Ravens open up tonight in Denver.

I've seen worse crowds at Camden Yards over the years, that's for sure.

One more important note about the attendance: The Orioles have officially gone over the 2 million mark now – they are at 2,007,672 for 68 home dates.

In 2012, when the Orioles drew 2.1 million, they broke a streak of four seasons without hitting the 2 million mark.
