The Denver Broncos are in the process of hiring Ravens assistant Tony Coaxum as their assistant special teams coach, according to a league source.

Coaxum worked as an assistant to Ravens special teams coordinator Jerry Rosburg during a season-long internship last season.

His addition to the Broncos' staff under new head coach Gary Kubiak hasn't been announced yet. He'll work under special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis.

Coaxum is a former Army assistant coach who played cornerback at West Point. He had previous NFL internships with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants.

An unsuspecting Coaxum got knocked down on the sideline by Tennessee Titans tight end Chase Coffman during a game in November. Coffman was fined $30,000 by the league.

Coaxum wasn't hurt during the incident.
