Prediction Friday: Ravens-Chargers and Orioles trade targets

Thank you for supporting our journalism. This article is available exclusively for our subscribers, who help fund our work at The Baltimore Sun.

We only have a few Prediction Fridays left, so let's make the most of it.

Last week, the Ravens beat the Colts 24-10. We had some fairly close guesses, but mbrenn3 was the closest with a 23-6 prediction. That's good enough for the free bar tab this week.

The Ravens have a tough matchup on Sunday night against a San Diego Chargers team that is finally winning again. The Ravens have won four in a row and seem to have figured out their identity. I just have a gut feeling that they have another road hiccup.

So I say the Chargers pull out a close one, a 24-20 victory that the Chargers seal with a Phillip Rivers to Vincent Jackson TD with less than two minutes to play. It will be Rivers' third TD – earning him our hero of the game award.

Now, I want your opinion. And hopefully your gut tells you something else. Predict the winner, the score and the player of the game.

To the Orioles: They introduced Japanese left-hander Tsuyoshi Wada as their newest player (and biggest signing so far this offseason) on Thursday. New executive vice president Dan Duquette said afterward he is working on other things and that includes some potential trades.

We've exhausted who the Orioles may deal (Jeremy Guthrie, Mark Reynolds, Brad Bergesen, to name a couple candidates). So I want you prediction on who the Orioles receive in a trade.

I'm going to say Atlanta Braves infielder/outfielder Martin Prado – because he is a fit and because his name has been in trade rumors. But this is just a guess on my part. Don't read too much into it.

Now, I want your guess.
